New England's National Park
There are more than 60 National Parks in the US, but only one in New England. Acadia National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth with enough natural wonders to distract from the stressors of everyday life. In April, I visited this scenic landscape of nearly 50,000 acres for the first time. Here is a sample of some features that boosted my mood. These are shots near Otter Cliff, Eagle Lake, Jordan Pond, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, and some waterfalls off the Park Loop Road.
Acadia is beautiful in the summer and fall. However, in April when the park opens, crowds are at a minimum and access to these beautiful spaces are better than at any time during the year
These lower photos consist of some landmarks on Mount Desert Island including Somesville Bridge and a tidal river on the border of Bass Harbor and Tremont Maine
